Our itinerary will begin with a 20min drive along the Corniche, a coastal road that winds along the Doha bay towards the newly build city of Lusail. Here, we will spend some time in the newest shopping mall of Qatar, Place Vendome. This 1,150,000 m² mall opened in 2022 and its different parts are named after famous landmarks of the city of Paris, France.
From there, its only a short drive to Doha Festival City, a shopping and entertainment complex, which hosts more than 400 stores and a number of amusement facilities including an indoor snow park.
On our way back, we’ll make a stop at Souq Waqif, a traditional Arabic marketplace to contrast the modern shopping frenzy. Here, modern Qatar meets its rich cultural heritage.
